Be kind and courteous to everyone

We welcome and invite people of every age, race, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, and disability. As such all attendees should be made to feel welcome, appreciated, and respected at all salon events.

Listen to understand

Generally people share their worldview and life experience to feel understood, heard, and sometimes to explore solutions to a common problem. As complex, multifaceted individuals many experiences may not mirror your own. Instead of introducing your opposing observations as the only truth or to negate what has been said, consider listening to understand.

Be conscious of and apologize for microaggressions and gaslighting

Many people don't realize they've made these comments or caused offense by them. If you are asked to rephrase a sentence and/or taught the negative connotations of a common phrase, take it with grace, apologize, and continue the conversation.

Report Inappropriate Behavior

All attendees are encouraged to report any inappropriate behavior either in person to a member of the Proveau Salon team or via email: proveausalon@gmail.com. We want everyone to feel safe and welcome at the Proveau Salon and are willing and ready to intervene.
